Is the craft the story or the telling, is it how the path of a story winds and is constructed or is it the tone, pace and inflection with which a teller delivers the tale.

Is it both, are they the same skill or two different tales in their own right. Is it a skill to plot a path and then expand that path into a tale that grabs your attention, your heart and mind. Is their more skill in taking a bad tale and making it grab your heart and mind. Is it the way the words fall from my lips that grabs your heart or is it just the words them selves.

I have no answer, I offer no advise. All I feel is that a good storyteller can still tell a bad story and good story can be presented badly.
